Having a keen eye for numbers, it was a natural extension that Janet worked in accounting. Janet worked with a Japanese MNC that specialises in the construction of commercial, condominiums and infrastructure projects. Some of the major projects that the company has worked on are the UOB Plaza, Republic Plaza, Shaw Centre and the MRT. Through this experience, her passion for real estate was developed. Hence, the next natural extension would be for her to join the real estate industry.

Besides using traditional marketing strategies, she uses creative marketing tools extensively to help her clients achieve the best results of their sale. These include home staged photos, home tour videos and 3D videos that utilise digital mediums like Facebook, YouTube and property portals to reach prospective buyers.

From the year 2000, Janet’s main focus, which is commonly known as Geographical Target Area, was at districts 15, 19 and 20. She has helped many home buyers and investors transact in private property in the 3 districts, where many of them enjoyed substantial capital appreciation of their properties.

Currently, she has expanded her focus to include the North region of Singapore, covering areas like Yishun, Canberra, Sembawang and Woodlands. With these areas having more access to amenities and connectivity, Janet has been helping clients secure good deals for their dream homes.

Janet has been advising and assisting her clients in Asset Progression, where HDB owners have upgraded to Executive Condominiums (EC), new launch condominiums and fully paying their condominium purchase. Other strategies that she utilises to assist her clients are Decoupling and buying in Trust. With these strategies, her clients are able to drive rental income from their investments. These strategies are especially useful with the new cooling measures in place.
