Having transitioned from the insurance industry into the property industry in 2009, Chris Pang entered the field around the same time as the very first property cooling measures by the Singapore government. In Sep 2009, the government removed the Interest Absorption Scheme (IAS) and Interest-Only Housing Loans (IOL), affecting many property investors’ budgeting plans.

Due to this drastic change, his first foray into the property market was both hasty and filled with uncertainty. However, through diligent research and tenacity, he was able to overcome the steep learning curve and help many investors restructure their property portfolios to adapt to the new rules.

Although Chris has assisted many of his clients in regular property transactions, his best skill is in helping investors restructure their property portfolio. By ensuring that his knowledge on property and market trends is always up-to-date, Chris provides keen insights and advice tailored to every single client’s needs.

Some examples of his skill are:

• Helping a client sell a HDB flat that had been listed for over 2 years within 2 weeks. The seller had already given up hope of selling, however Chris managed to secure a buyer in a short period of time, with a good price.
• Assisting a couple in upgrading from a HDB flat to 2 properties. By listening to his advice, the couple’s properties have already appreciated by over $300,000.
