Having graduated in the midst of the Asian Financial Crisis (AFC) with a sizeable student loan, Betty’s first taste of the working world involved a 10-month-long job hunt, hundreds of rejected applications and failed interviews, and finally, her first job at a Japanese MNC. This experience built Betty’s lifelong perspective on every problem in her life—as an opportunity to grow.
This growth mindset proved itself as Betty worked her way up from the bottom rung of the corporate ladder to the position of General Manager in the regional metals recycling firm, founding its Indonesian operations in the process.
