His first foray into property started in the resale segment, a sector that has now become his second home. Standing apart from other sectors, Ryan fondly describes the resale market as ‘the most challenging parts of the other property markets, times TEN’.
Where selections are often limited and wear and tear expected, resale buyers need a savvy agent to alert them of renovation costs, maintenance estimates and even to walk them away from hidden-cost-ridden units. Likewise, sellers need to find buyers whose tastes match with their own, as interior designs vary from owner to owner.
‘There is no house that cannot be sold.’ For Ryan, no challenge is too big. With his impressive track record, he has indeed proven his words:
- Set the record for highest quantum for a low-floored unit within a single open house.
- Closed a sale for a west sun and heavy vehicle facing unit during the circuit breaker period.
- Took 2 months to sell an HDB flat that previously could not be sold for over a year.
